<br />. <br /> <br />PROPOSED CHANGES TO ACCOMMODATE DETACHED TOWNHOUSES <br /> <br />From... <br />9.02 DEFINITIONS <br /> <br />Dwelling Unit- A residential building or portion thereof intended for occupancy by one <br />family including apartments but not including hotels, motels, nursing homes, seasonal <br />cabins, boarding or rooming houses, tourist homes or trailers. <br /> <br />Dwelling, Attached- A dwelling which is joined to another at one or more sides by a <br />party wall. <br /> <br />Dwelling, Detached- A dwelling unit not attached to another dwelling or structure. <br /> <br />Dwelling, Multiple (Apartment or Condominium)- A building designed with three (3) <br />or more dwelling units exclusively for occupancy by three (3) or more families living <br />independently of each other but sharing hallways and main entrances and exits. <br /> <br />Dwelling, Single Family- A dwelling unit designed exclusively for occupancy by one <br />family. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Dwelling, Twinhome or Quad- A building containing two or four attached dwelling <br />units, side-by-side, that share common walls at the lot lines and that are on separate lots <br />do not utilize a homeowners' association. <br /> <br />Dwelling, Duplex - A dwelling designed exclusively for occupancy by two families <br />having separate kitchen, bathroom, and living spaces. <br /> <br />Dwelling, Townhouses- Str.Jcturcs housing three (3) or more dwelling units contiguous <br />to ench other only by the sharing of one common '.vall, such structures to be of tho to','m <br />or TO'^, houses type as contrasted to multiple d\';elling apartment structures. No single <br />structures shall contain in excess of eight (8) d',yelling ur:its ~...nd each dwelling unit shall <br />have separate and individual front and rem entrances. Structures that are designed for <br />single household habitation. but have outdoor areas and/or indoor centers that are <br />commonly owned and maintained by a homeowners' association.
