Said meeting is to be ex>nducted and authorized <br />pursuant to the Minnesota open meeting statute. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Mr. Goodrich stated that there has been a filing for <br />mediation but ~tiations can ex>ntinue; will bring Council up to date on <br />negotiations in the near future. <br /> <br />tt>tion carried. Q)odrich stated that he and Ms. Frolik met with Callpaign Success, Inc. on <br />January 10, 1986. ~e City's agreement with CSI was for one publication of the <br />Tri-Ci ty Newsletter only and that has been CDIlpleted. Mr. Goodrich stated that <br />CSI does not wish to continue to publish the Newsletter in it's ~esent format; <br />it has become evident that selling ad space in the newsletter is not viable <br />enou~ to cover the cost of the newsletter; it was reamoended that the Ci. ty <br />proceed wi th a newsletter subsidized ~ Ci ty funds. It was also reported that <br />4th class mailing is not getting to all residents adequately and it was <br />re<xmoended that future newsletters be delivered 1st class. <br /> <br />Ms. Frolik reported that she contacted Chanplin and their monthly newsletter <br />costs about $l,OOO/month for pcinting which is taken fran their City's general <br />fund. Mr. Q)odrich added that with pcinting, mailing and Ms. Prolik's time, <br />the City would be looking at about $20,000/year for a monthly newsletter. <br /> <br />HI.
