<br />ORDINANCE t88-___ <br /> <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANCEA CXXJNl'Y <br />STATE OF MINNESOI'A <br /> <br />AMENDMENl' ro CHAPTER 130 WHICH IS KNClm AS THE BUSINESS AND TRADE CHAPTER <br />CF THE CITY <mE CF RAMSEY, MINNESGrA. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDIN3 OlAPl'ER 130 OF THE BUSINESS AND TRADE CHAPTER OF THE <br />RAMSEY CITY CODE BY THE ADDITION OF SECTION 130.12 ENTITLED "CHARITABLE <br />GAMBLIN:;" . <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey ordains: <br /> <br />SECl'ION 1. AMENDMENl' . <br /> <br />130.121. In general. Lawful gambling conducted pursuant to Minnesota <br />Statutes, Chapter 349 shall be oJ;€rated in accordance with the conditions <br />prescribed in this chapter and other applicable provisions of the Ramsey <br />City Ordinances. <br /> <br />130.122. Notice; approval or disapproval. The Minnesota Charitable <br />Gambling Board shall notify the City Council in writing in the manner <br />required by law of each pending application for a charitable gambling <br />license at least thirty (30) days before issuing or renewing the license. <br />Each pending application for a license shall be approved or disapproved by <br />resolution of the City Council. <br /> <br />130.123. wcation. Lawful gambling under license issued by the Minnesota <br />Charitable Gambling Control Board may be conducted only at the following <br />locations: <br /> <br />(a) In the licensed organization I s hall where it has its regular <br />meetings. No organization shall rent, lease, or occupy, directly or <br />indirectly, any other property for the purpose of conducting gambling, <br />except an on-sale establishment as J;€rmitted in this chapter; <br /> <br />(b) In licensed on-sale liquor, wine, and beer establishments; <br /> <br />(c) lbtwithstanding subsections (a) and (b) above, Class D (raffle only) <br />licenses may be approved for any proper location; <br /> <br />(d) lb location shall be approved for gambling unless it complies with <br />the applicable zoning, building, fire, and health codes of the City of <br />Ramsey. <br /> <br />130.124. Conditions. The conduct of lawful gambling under license issued <br />by the YJ.nnesota O1aritable G~"!Ibling Control Board shall be subject to the <br />following conditions in the City of P,arnsey: <br /> <br />(a) No sale, consumption, or possession of liquor, wine, or 3.2 beer <br />shall be permitted during gambling conducted bya licensed organization, <br />except as pennitted under a valid on-sale liquor, wine, or 3.2 beer <br />license., or a bottle club permit; provided further that no sale, <br />consumption, or possession of liquor, wine, or 3.2 beer shall be permitted <br />in the roan ",'here a..bingo session is taking place; <br /> <br />3b <br />
