<br />, . <br /> <br />Councilmember <br />for its adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #88-___ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE 1988 <br />SEALCOATING IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS 88-2,3,4,5,6,7&8 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 1988 <br />sealcoating projects (Projects 88-2, 88-3, 88-4, 88-5, 88-6, 88-7, 88- <br />8) bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the <br />following bids were received complying with the advertisement: <br /> <br />Bidder <br /> <br />Amount of Bid <br /> <br />Astech Corporation <br />Allied Blacktop Co. <br />Bituminous Roadways, Inc. <br /> <br />$54,674.50 <br />$56,750.60 <br />$62,898.40 <br /> <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that Astech Corporation of st. Cloud, <br />Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the Mayor and City Administrator/Clerk are hereby <br />authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Astech <br />Corporation of st. Cloud, Minnesota in the name of the City of Ramsey <br />for the 1988 Sea1coating projects according to the plans and specifi- <br />cations therefore approved by the Ramsey City Council and on file in <br />the office of the City Administrator/Clerk. <br /> <br />2) The award of the project shall be contingent on Mn/DOT <br />approval of the plans for Variolite Street and 155th Avenue and <br />paYment of the unescrowed amount in River's Bend by the developers. <br /> <br />3) The City Administrator/Clerk is hereby authorized and <br />directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with <br />their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and next <br />lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken <br />thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the <br />Ramsey City Council this the 28th day of June, 1988. <br />
