Mr. Erikson noted that his property is zoned B-1 and buildings <br />up to 35 feet in height are allowed in B-1. <br />Ms. Norris stated that the principal use of Mr. Erikson's land is <br />residential and therefore, even though it is zoned B -1, it is subject to <br />residential regulations. At the time the variance was applied for, one of <br />the options discussed that would be available to Mr. Erikson was splitting <br />off that part of the parcel on which the new building is located and that <br />new lot and building would then be subject to B-1 zoning regulations. <br />The Commission requested being provided copies of the related Board of <br />Adjustment minutes from 1987. <br />Notion by Commissioner Holm and seconded by Commissioner Shumway to table <br />action on Mr. Erikson's request until later in the evening when past <br />minutes relating to this case are available. <br />Notion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Holm, <br />Terry, Shumway, LaDue and Howell. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner <br />Hendriksen. <br />Refer to page 5 for further action. <br />Case #'4: B=est For Conditional Use Permit -To OWrate A Print Shop <br />From Giaraae: Case Of Mark and TuAnn Brozak:_ <br />Nark and LuAnne Brozak were present. LuAnn stated that she is requesting a <br />conditional use permit to operate a small print shop from her garage; her <br />_ business will be conducted over the telephone and will be strictly a pick- <br />up and delivery operation. <br />Motion by Commissioner Howell and seconded by Commissioner LaDue to <br />recommend City Council adopt findings of fact relating to Nark and LuAnn <br />Brozak's request for a conditional use permit. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners LaDue, <br />Howell, Terry, Shumway and Holm. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner <br />Hendriksen. <br />Motion by Commissioner Howell and seconded by Commissioner Holm to <br />recommend that based on receiving no complaints from neighboring <br />properties, Mark and LuAnn's request for a conditional use permit be <br />approved and amended as follows: <br />Change Item f6 to read: 'There shall be no signs advertising the <br />business operated at the site.' <br />Add Item T7 to read: 'gnat there shall be no cror in business at the <br />site.' <br />Notion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners LaDue, <br />Howell, Terry, Shumway and Holm. Voting No: None.
