Case #11: Request For Metes And Bounds Subdivision; Case Of Bladholm <br />And Tiller Corporation (Commercial Asphalt: <br />Ms. Norris stated that Mr. Gary Sauer of ;Tiller Corporation (Commercial <br />Asphalt) is requesting a metes and bounds subdivision to split the future <br />asphalt plant site from Bladholm's property. <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to <br />approve Tiller Corporation's request for a metes and bounds subdivision. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br />Case #12: Petition For Public Imrovements In Outlot B, Rum Acres <br />Estates <br />Mr. Hartley stated that the City has received a petition for the <br />construction of sanitary sewer, water, storm sewer and streets for Phase I <br />Of butlot B, Run Acres Estates. This petition is presuming extension of <br />sewer and water trunks to Outlot B will be approved. <br />Mr. Jack Miller, developer of Outlot B, stated that he understands that he <br />will be responsible for all costs to put this project in motion prior to <br />the approval of sewer capacity to serve Outlot B. <br />Notion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to adopt <br />Resolution #88 -38 receiving petition and ordering a feasibility study for <br />public improvements in Outlot B, Rum Acres Estates. (Please refer to <br />resolution file for Resolution #88 -38). <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br />Mr. Hartley referred to the issue between Ramsey and Metro Council <br />regarding gaining additional sewer capacity and the density of development <br />in the rural area. Mr. Hartley stated that he would like to present a <br />proposal to Metro Council that would a11.ow for continuing to develop the <br />rural area with 2.5 acre minimum lot sizes but with a requirement that <br />10U %, rather than 25 %, of the soils be Class A. <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to <br />direct City Administrator Hartley to negotiate with Metro Council for <br />additional sewer capacity with the condition that Ramsey continues to <br />develop it's rural area with 2.5 acre minimum lot sizes consisting of 10u% <br />Class A soils. <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember Cox noted that the motion does not <br />necessarily reflect that the Council agrees with the conditions to gain <br />additional sewer capacity. <br />City Council /February 24, 1988 <br />Page 11 of 13 <br />X95 <br />
