I :' The school swimming pool in Vanden Berge Junior High will be open for eleven weeks this summer. The estimat~d cost of $10,800 will be shared by the Community Education Program, the cities of Elk River ($4,000), Ramsey ($500) and Rogers ($250). ','. ' The complete cost has not been raised yet but the go- ahead ~as given after assurances from Community Education Director Dennis Carlson were given that the money would be . forthcoming. . . School officials expressed their appreciation to the cooperating communities. Some wondered, however, why more communities in the district cannot contribute toward '" the cost of s~r pool operation. . "1 would guess we have fifteen'-cities 'and townships in ,the school district," said one administrator..
