<br />_I <br /> <br />I <br />/ <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />-~I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />.-1 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />,.;.__..-:.-._____r.....'...... ........ <br /> <br />t <br />t <br /> <br /> <br />Councilmember Van Wagner introduced the following resolution and moved for <br />its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #83- 20 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CONTINUING RAMSEY'S REQUEST TO DELETE SITE "P" FROM ANOKA",C()UNTY'S <br />LANDFILL INVENTORY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, by its Resolution #83-17, the City of Ramsey has requested <br />that Anoka County delete its landfill Site "P" from Anoka County's inventory <br />of landfill sites; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Anoka County Board, at its meeting on March 22, 1983, <br />refused to delete said Site "P"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Anoka County Board, while refusing to delete said <br />Site IIp'', did, by motion, agree to request Ramsey to propose 'an alternative <br />to Site "P"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there is an existing landfill in the City of Ramsey con- <br />sisting of 80 acres, plus an additional 80 acres of land, a part of which <br />has been given a permit by the PCA and Anoka County for landfilling, both <br />of-wbich tracts of land are owned by the City of Anoka and legally described <br />as follows: <br /> <br />The South One-Half (S~) of the Southeast Quarter (SE~) <br />of Section 22, Township 32, Range 25, <br /> <br />AND <br /> <br />The North One-Half (N~) of the Northeast Quarter (NE~) of <br />Section 27, Township 32, Range 25, all in Anoka County, <br />Minnesota; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Council finds that it is in the best interests of <br />the City to limit the size of landfills in its City-if at all possible and <br />that if Site "P" cannot be total}y eliminated, then the next most desirable <br />alternative is to restrict its size. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA <br />COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows : <br /> <br />1) That Ramsey continue to request the deletion of Site tip" from <br />Anoka County's landfill inventory as requested in Ramsey's Resolution #83-17. <br /> <br />2) That as an alternative to Site "P", Ramsey recommends the <br />following legally described property as a landfill site to Anoka County: <br /> <br />'-IS <br /> <br />/ <br />" <br /> <br />/ <br />" <br />
