Reapplication process <br /> <br />a) Letter of intent <br /> <br />Members of City boards and commissions who wish to serve a consecutive term <br />of office must notify the City Council of their intent at least two months before <br />the expiration ofthe current term of office. To remind the incumbent ofthe <br />impending deadline, the Human Resources Manager or Assistant City <br />Administrator will notify commission members three months in advance of the <br />expiration of their terms and invite them to complete and submit an application <br />highlighting accomplishments, personal contributions to the commission, and <br />ideas for improving the effectiveness of the commission for review by the <br />evaluation panel. <br /> <br />The evaluation panel will meet to discuss and vote on whether or not a recommendation <br />for reappointment will be made to the City Council the incumbent '.',Till be reappointed. If <br />it is determined that the evaluation panel does not wish to reappoint the incumbent, that <br />individual's seat will be advertised. If it is determined that the incumbent will be <br />reappointed, the incumbent will be notified of his/her new term dates. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember Pearson, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Cook <br />Councilmember Pearson <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Olson <br />Councilmember Strommen <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Resolution #06-03-085 <br />Page 2 of3 <br />
