<br />councilmember <br />moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #88- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING <br />ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS (1988 Sealcoating Improvement Projects 88- <br />2,3,4,5,6,7 and 8) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant toa resolution passed by the Ramsey city <br />council on May 24, 1988, city Engineer Mr. Peter R. Raatikka of <br />Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. has prepared plans and <br />specifications for Improvement Projects #88-2,3,4,5,6,7 and 8, 1988 <br />Sealcoating Improvements and has presented such plans and <br />specifications to the Council for approval. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That such plans and specifications, a copy of which is <br />attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. <br /> <br />2) That the city Administrator shall prepare and cause to be <br />inserted in the official paper (Anoka County Union) and the <br />Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making <br />such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. <br />advertisement shall be published for 10 days, shall specify the <br />to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the City <br />Administrator until 11:00 a.m. on June 28, 1988, at which time they <br />will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey <br />Municipal Center by the City Administrator and City Engineer, will <br />then be tabulated and will be considered by the Ramsey City Council at <br />7:30 p.m. on June 28, 1988 in the Council Chambers. Any bidder whose <br />given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of <br />responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed <br />with the city Administrator and accompanied by a cash deposit, <br />cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City of <br />Ramsey for five (5) percent of the amount of the bid. <br /> <br />of <br />The <br />work <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregtiing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Councilmember an upon vote being taken <br />thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the <br />Ramsey City Council this the 14th day of June, 1988. <br /> <br />2J <br />
