Wild Oaks has been in process for
a year and a half, working with the city on requirements and following all ordinances and
guidelines. Throughout this platting the P and Z and Council have agreed the underlying
reason holding up further movement is the lack of a second access. It has been stated
often and by several that second access should make a favorable transition into final plat.
We now have purchased the 10 acres to the west which shall allow linkage to 171 St to
Armstrong, thereby eliminating the need for a long cul -de -sac in the current plat. The
planned road is shown in a recent drawing joining Wild Oaks to the Alicia Addition
west of subject next to Armstrong Avenue. We ask that this additional 10 acres also be
allowed under hardship so as it too can be developed in a timely manner at a further date.
Wild Oaks offers a secluded, private landscape surrounded with pretty views of the
wildlife area, a horse ranch to the west and more open land to the south. Many old oak
trees and much wildlife live here, concerted efforts will be made to preserve and enhance
these areas. Wild Oaks is certain to be a valuable addition to the city of Ramsey, with 14
new and unique home sites offered. For upper bracket homes only, this will increase the
tax base to the city.
We look forward to working with the city making Wild Oaks a home for several in the
years to come. Let's move forward with this project now.
Ron Tallman
Director Wild Oaks of Ramsey 763 -424 -9348
