Boulevard project occurs along the county highway were there may be little to no
road impact. In addition the question presents itself as to what length along a
residential City street might be involved before full urban improvements are
required.
• Project Interconnectedness Although these are two separate projects there will be
a financial impact to the City if either or both are pursued to construction since a
trunk main is required along Ramsey Boulevard to service either or both of the
projects.
•
ROW On 157 Lane there would need to be acquisition of additional
right of way. The eastern third of the project has only a dedicated 33 foot right of
way. If the easternmost cul de sac lots are to be developed to their fullest potential
additional ROW would also need to be dedicated. Will ROW be purchased or
dedicated in each of these instances?
• Dolomite Extension to 157 Lane Full development of 157 Lane to urban
densities could result in as many as 50 to 60 units utilizing a single access street
one half mile long. Although it has been determined that a future connection will
be required extending Dolomite Street to connect to the High Point subdivision to
the south the issue remains at what point and how will this be facilitated.
Recommendation:
Staff desires a discussion which will focus on providing direction for completing both of
these feasibility studies.
Action:
Based upon discussion.
Reviewed By:
Public Works Director/Principal Engineer
Fire Chief
PW: 07/18/06
