Coordinator Anderson passed out a map of the City of Ramsey Wetland Inventory
indicating areas that have been completed to date, and wetlands that have yet to be field
verified. He also passed out a table identifying the wetlands. He noted that the
consultants have completed approximately 45 percent of the MnRAM field verifications,
and they have updated about 30 percent of the field information on approximately sixty
(60) of the targeted wetlands. Based on the responses Staff has received, it appears that
the week of July 10 works best for accompanying the consultants in the field.
Coordinator Anderson stated he spoke with Genevieve Bolling, who mentioned she found
some areas of interest to show the EPB members.

Coordinator Anderson stated that it takes approximately two hours to inspect each
wetland. He asked the EPB members how long they would like to accompany the
consultants in the field. He stated the consultants are usually in the field from
approximately 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Board Members discussed which days they would be available. Board Member Max
suggested that the EPB members join the consultants for one day only so their work isn't
slowed down.

After discussion, Coordinator Anderson marked his calendar for Tuesday, July 18th for
EPB members to accompany the consultants and to meet at City Hall at 8:00 a.m. to
carpool to the wetland site.

Chairperson McDilda requested the opportunity to walk along with the crew while they
are in the wetland near his property.

Board Member Freeburg stated his preference was to see one wetland that the consultants
choose, and then view a wetland chosen by members of the EPB.

Board Member Sibilski arrived at the meeting at 6:45 p.m.

Board Member Max stated that he would not be able to join the consultants on Tuesday,
July 18, 2006 due to work obligations.

Coordinator Anderson stated that he would ask the consultants about the possibility of
inspecting the wetland near Chairperson McDilda's property. There will be no reminder
notice for EPB members by Coordinator Anderson.

Case #2:

Wetland Buffer Guidebook Discussion

Chairperson McDilda suggested that EPB members brainstorm to produce an outline for
the Wetland Buffer Guidebook contents.

Board Member Freeburg suggested a brief introduction to the City of Ramsey.

Environmental Policy Board/July 10, 2006
Page 2 of7
