<br />Board Member Bentz asked if there were copyright issues with pictures of indicator <br />species. Board Member Hustvedt stated that he could look around for resources. <br /> <br />Board Member Hustvedt stated thatif the EPB members could get the information to him <br />before the next meeting, he would consolidate the information. <br /> <br />Board Member Freeburg stated that he went to the DNR. He provided EPB members <br />with DNR pamphlets and fliers of wetland regulations, types, and definitions. He stated <br />that he discovered the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District has more information and <br />data available than the City of Minneapolis. <br /> <br />Board Member Freeburg provided EPB members with a reference for the Minnehaha <br />Creek Watershed District web site http://www.minnehahacreek.org/index.php. He <br />provided members with USDA Riparian Buffer Conservation Plan. He provided staff <br />with the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District Board of Managers Rules for Wetland <br />Protection, and other printed material available on their website. <br /> <br />Board Member Freeburg passed out a brochure about the Minnehaha Creek Watershed <br />District about putting land in a buffer program for conservation purposes. He passed out <br />the Hermantown Wetland Protection and Wetland Protection and Management Plan. <br /> <br />Board Member Freeburg stated that he spoke with someone at the U ofM Extension <br />service. That person informed Board Member Freeburg that he recognized the necessity <br />and importance of a Wetland Buffer Guidebook, and he could recommend a speaker for a <br />wetland conference to the City Council. <br /> <br />Board Member Freeburg stated he was also looking for a resource person to speak from <br />the Lower Rum River Management District. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />Coordinator Anderson reminded members that the August meeting will be held at 6356 <br />Riverdale Dr. NW and, as always, will be open to the general public. As discussed at the <br />June meeting, Board Member Freeburg requested that the August meeting be held at his <br />residence and include a mini-tour of the prairie landscaping. <br /> <br />Chairperson McDilda stated that the August meeting will be held on August 7, 2006 at <br />6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Board Member Olds asked about the September meeting. Chairperson McDilda <br />suggested moving the date to September 11 th since the first Monday of the month falls on <br />a holiday.
