Board Member Max suggested that there be a summary of baseline data about the
analysis findings.

Members of the board concurred that would be a good idea.

Chairperson McDilda stated that this would be a good reference to start but the book
should not be dated.

Coordinator Anderson cautioned not to reference the number of wetlands in the survey
because there are many smaller wetlands not included in the study.

Board Member Freeburg stated that there are a lot of wetlands in the industrial area.

Board Member Bentz suggested adding a map as a centerfold in the book.

Chairperson McDilda stated that full color pages in the book may be cost prohibitive.

Board Member Hustvedt stated that it may go on the web page if it is too costly.

Board Member Bentz concurred with Board Member Hustvedt's excellent suggestion to
do the brochure and use the City's color copier for hand inserts to keep the cost of the
brochure lower.

Board members discussed the cost of printing the book.

Chairperson McDilda asked EPB members to make their intent known for particular
areas of passion they may have for the book, and put together some drafts for the next
meeting.

Board Member Hustvedt volunteered to take on a good section of the book and
consolidate information since he has time off this summer.

Chairperson McDilda asked Coordinator Anderson and Staff to take on the buffer
ordinance section.

EPB members volunteered for the following sections of the books:
Definition of a wetland and why they are important: Board Member Freeburg
Table of Contents and Wetland Water Cycle: Board Member Bentz
Recommendations for do's and don'ts: Board Member Sibilski
Wetland Classifications and Definitions: Chairperson McDilda
Introduction, consolidation and editing: Board Member Hustvedt
Summary and baseline data: Board Member Max
Listing of additional sources of information Staff
Buffer ordinance Staff
Pictures of indicator species Board Member Hustvedt
Why wetlands are important Board Member OIds

Environmental Policy Board/July 10, 2006
Page 5 of7
