She would be concerned <br />about adding that volume of traffic to the area without other things being place at the same time. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Van Scoy and seconded by Commissioner Levine to recommend that <br />City Council deny the request for a Comprehensive Plan Amendment for the Skyline Pointe <br />development, based on the following: a) traffic volumes; b) inadequate rationale for additional <br />density in the area. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Commissioners Van Scoy, Levine, Cleveland, Trites Rolle, Hunt. <br />Voting No: Chairperson Nixt. Abstain: Commissioner Brauer. <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt explained that his vote is based on City Council opinions regarding the change <br />in land use. <br /> <br />Motion by Chairperson Nixt and seconded by Commissioner Van Scoy to recommend that City <br />Council deny the request to rezone the proposed plat of Skyline Pointe to Planned Unit <br />Development. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting No: None Abstain: Commissioner Brauer. <br /> <br />Motion by Chairperson Nixt and seconded by Commissioner Cleveland to recommend that City <br />Council deny the preliminary plat and preliminary site plan for Skyline Pointe, based on the <br />Commission's recommendation to deny the Comprehensive Plan Amendment and the Rezoning. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
