CASE# F C-. 5 AMENDMENTS TO THE 1996 SCHEDULE OF RATES, FEES AND CHARGES By: Jessie Hart, Finance Officer Background: The 1996 Schedule of Rates, Fees and Charges was adopted on October 24, 1995. During discussions at that time, there were several fees that needed to be addressed and there have been some questions and concerns raised in other areas since then. The following details each of these areas and indicates staffs recommendation. Building Construction (Page 1): Mechanical Permit New Construction Remodel/Addition (adopted 10/24/95) (recommended 11/28/95) Plumbing Permit New Construction Remodel! Addition (adopted 10/24/95) (recommended 11/28/95) $100.00 flat fee $ 30.00 flat fee $150.00 flat fee $ 30.00 flat + $7.00/fixture (I'he adopted amounts for the two permits above actually apply to only new construction and does require the need to address remodeling or additions to existing construction which has been addressed above.) Septic System Installer Septic System Pumper (adopted 10/24/95) (adopted 10/24/95) $ 25.00 $ 25.00 (It is recommended that both of these permit items be deleted from the Schedule of Rates, Fees and Charges in that the State MPCA now licenses these at the State level.) Currently, color is more predominant and those are sent out for enlargement, thus the recommended changes. This amount includes the outside charge plus a nominal fee to cover staff time.)
