PC: 08 -22 -06 <br />Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION # <br />CONSIDER AUTHORIZATION TO HIRE <br />A PART -TIME BUILDING MAINTENANCE WORKER <br />WHEREAS, approximately 20 applications were received for the position and ten <br />applicants were interviewed; and <br />WHEREAS, the interview panel has selected an applicant to advance in the <br />selection process for the part-time Building Maintenance Worker position; and <br />WHEREAS, staff is awaiting some of the results of the background check. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, <br />Confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to do the following: <br />Authorize staff to hire the selected candidate for the Part-time Building <br />Maintenance Worker at an hourly wage not to exceed $15.06. The name of the <br />selected candidate will be presented for ratification at the next regularly scheduled <br />Personnel Committee meeting. This appointment is contingent upon successful <br />completion of all background checks. The selected candidate's start date will be <br />on or near August 28, 2006. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member, , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the 22 day of August, 2006. <br />
