<br />~ <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />Councilmember <br />adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #97-09-_ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDING OF FACT #_ RELATING TO A REQUEST <br />FROM BARBARA NELSON FOR A HOME OCCUPATION PERMIT AT 5211155TH <br />LANE N.W. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey received an application from Barbara Nelson for a <br />home occupation permit to operate a hair and nail salon within the dwelling on the property <br />generally known as 5211 155th Lane N.W. and legally described as follows: <br /> <br />Lot 12, Block 3, Woodland Green, Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> <br />(the "Subject Property") <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA that the findings of fact relating <br />to the request are determined to be as follows: <br /> <br />1. That on August 6, 1997, Barbara Nelson, hereinafter referred to as "Applicant", properly <br />applied for a home occupation permit to establish and operate a hair and nail salon in her <br />home. <br /> <br />2. That the applicant appeared before the Ramsey Planning Commission for a public hearing <br />pursuant to Section 9.03.04 of the City Code on September 2, 1997, and that said public <br />hearing was properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby <br />incorporated as a part of these findings by reference. <br /> <br />3. That the Subject Property and surrounding parcels to the east, south and west are zoned <br />R-l Rural Residential; the adjacent property to the north is a City park. <br /> <br />4. That the Subject Property is approximately .9 acres in size. <br /> <br />5. That beauty salons are not a permitted use in the R-1 Rural Residential District. <br /> <br />6. That the Applicant has provided documentation to support that the home occupation will <br />be conducted within the private dwelling on the property ~ that the area set aside for the <br />home occupation does not exceed 20% of the total floor area of the private dwelling, and <br />the operation will not include any employment of persons not residing in the private <br />dwelling in the performance of the home occupation. <br /> <br />7. That the Applicant will reside at the location of the proposed home occupation. <br /> <br />q <br />
