<br />Complete <br /> <br />Complete <br /> <br />Complete <br /> <br />Complete <br /> <br />t:to <br /> <br />Monthly Status Report <br /> <br />7/7/97 Attach to the record of the Kurak public hearing the letters <br />received from Ray Kellas, Barry Childs, Jerry and Maryjeanne <br />Arneson, and Torn and Julie Schacht. <br /> <br />7/7/97 Attach to the record of the Grinde public hearing the letter of <br />support signed by neighbors. <br /> <br />7/7/97 Kurak Findings of Fact - The J:>1al1!ling Commission voted to <br />accept 1 to 11, 14, 16, and 17 as presented and amend the <br />following: (12) Indicate 39 acres. (13) Indicate 800,000 cubic <br />yards. (15) Indicate 300 feet north of the northern end of Sunfish <br />Lake. (18) To read "That the existing drainage patterns will not <br />be substantially altered by the proposed grading plan." (19) <br />Indicate "in active area only" at the end of the sentence. (20) To <br />read "That the grading operation will not increase the traffic to <br />and from the subject property for the period of time the permit is <br />in effect." (21) To read "That the proposed use will not be unduly <br />dangerous or otherwise detrimental to persons residing or working <br />in the vicinity of the use or to the public welfare." (22) To read <br />"That the proposed use will not substantially adversely impair the <br />use, enjoyment, or market value of any surrounding property." <br />(23) Split into two findings - (23a) Indicate will not be hazardous; <br />and (23b) To read "That the proposed use will be disturbing to <br />existing or future neighboring uses." (24) Delete. (25) To read <br />"That the proposed use will be served adequately by public <br />facilities and services such as highways and streets." (26) To read <br />"That the proposed use will not create excessive additional <br />requirements at public cost for public facilities and. services, and it <br />will not be detrimental to the economic welfare of the <br />community." (27) Indicate that proposed uses and activities are <br />controlled by City Code and should the permit be granted, these <br />private rights will be protected by the' Code underthecontract the <br />permittee signs with the City. Add a finding indicating that the <br />excavation on the southeast side of the project will leave an 18- <br />foot-high bluff along Sunfish Lake and a 13-foot-high bluff on the <br />eastern wetland. The Planning Commission voted to recommend <br />approval of the amended Findings of Fact. Forward to Council. <br /> <br />7/7/97 Kurak grading and mining CUP - The Planning Commission <br />. voted to amend the following terms: (3) Indicate 39 acres. (7) <br />Add "excepting personal property" at the end of the sentence. <br />(14) Increase the interval to two days. The Planning Commission <br />voted to recommend City Council approve Torn Kurak's request <br />for a CUP to grade and export soils. Forward to Council. <br />
