The new facility was made possible through the cooperation ofKCI Construction and the City of Ramsey. "This
is an additional piece of the development plan for the area east of Sunfish Lake Boulevard allowing for the continued
development of a strong commercial/industrial tax base for the City of Ramsey," stated Mayor Tom Gamec. He further
added that this is a continuation of the trend of developing long term relationships with small to medium sized compa-
nies which began with Automated EDM, Heritage Millwork and Command Corporation, to name a few.

KCI Construction made the decision to construct its new facility after looking at a variety of different sites throughout
the north metro area. "Our decision to choose the City of Ramsey was based upon the availability of a high quality site
and the ease of dealing with the City" stated Brian Swanson, Vice President of KCI Construction. "Since we acquired
the property from a private owner, the City was willing to restructure its traditional development program to fit our
unique needs." The construction of this facility will provide for the development of Sunfish Lake Court and the comple-
tion of a storm water improvement project to better serve this area of the City. "We see the development of this facility
as being a natural extension of the City's continuing dedication to the development of-relationships with the Ramsey
Business Community" stated City Administrator Ryan Schroeder. "This dedication to business relationships includes
the preexisting business community as witnessed with the upgrading of Azurite Street Northwest to better meet the needs
of the existing businesses as well as this project with KCI which develops a parcel originally slated for development in
1987."

7
