<br />lA <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />CASE #1 <br /> <br />1997 HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE <br />By: James D. Gromberg, Economic Development Coordinator <br /> <br />Background: <br />As the Economic Development Commission (EDC) is aware each year the Commission <br />recommends the induction of as community member into the Ramsey Economic Hall of Fame. <br />The EDC has developed the following criteria for induction's into the Hall of Fame. <br /> <br />. Has been involved in all aspects of the Community including community service <br />events, local government and the promotion ofthe community. <br /> <br />. Has been a positive influence on the community and not been in violation of City <br />ordinances. <br /> <br />. Has provided for the maintenance or expansion of the commercial industrial base <br />through the development of new business ventures, the retention or development of <br />the employment base ofthe City. <br /> <br />During last years discussion concerning the induction the City developed the following list of <br />possible inductees: <br /> <br />. Gary Reimann <br />. Bob Brown <br />. Bernie VeVea <br />. Harold Stoltz <br />. Gerald Bauer <br /> <br />. Chuck Soderholm <br />. Jack Kovar <br />. Bill Dubats <br />. Gene Walters <br />. John Noard <br /> <br />From this list the EDC chose John Noard as the inductee at the Business Appreciation Day event. <br />The commission should use this list as a start and begin to develop a list from which to select the <br />1997 inductee. Some other possible candidates would be Dennis Sharp, Jim Gilbertson and <br />Natalie Haas-Steffen. <br /> <br />I have taken the liberty of ordering the plaque with the space for the name blank some that it will <br />be available for the event. <br /> <br />Commission Action: <br />Based upon the commissions discussion the EDC should select the 1997 inductee to the Ramsey <br />Hall of Fame <br /> <br />Reviewed By: <br />Economic Development Coordinator <br />City Administrator <br /> <br />EDC:4/03/97 <br /> <br />\ <br />
