The westerly alignment is estimated to require <br />26.6 acres at $1,000,600 (1994 $). The easterly alignment is estimated to require 10.14 <br />acres at $398,000 (1994 $). <br /> <br />While the cost differences are significant, it is too early for cost to be a consideration in <br />the selection of an alternative. Instead, land use, ease of transportation, reduction of <br />traffic on Highway 10, and traffic impacts on City streets should be considered. <br /> <br />6. We need a count of houses impacted by the westerly bridge alignment as well as the <br />number of houses impacted by the eastern bridge alignment. <br /> <br />Residential land uses would not be impacted by either alignment alternative. <br /> <br />7. We should seriously consider input by a recognized road planner. Is Mn/DOT the <br />authority ? <br /> <br />See answer to question 3. <br />
