.. -2- Currently we are in the process of forging a cooperative agreement with Mn/DOT for the intersection of the current alignment of TII 47 and CR #116. As you know, this project has been bounced back in the program for the last several years and the viability of this cooperative agreement project should be investigated as part of the total investigation of the Thurston Avenue option. It also appears that if traffic infact does use the Thurston Avenue alignment, that the City could expect a significant traffic wowth on Dysposium Street connecting the new alignment of TII 47 with CSAH #5 mto northwestern Ramsey and Burns Township. These traffic impacts need to be investigated as well. In addition to these comments, other considerations include the future additional river crossing bridge in the area of CR #56, its impacts on TII 47 and connections to the north in Ramsey, Burns and S1. Francis. While this issue is certainly far into the future, it should be at least discussed in any attempt to relocate TII 47 to Thurston Avenue. The tone of this letter does seem somewhat negative, however, it is only intended to point out concerns that the Anoka County Highway Department would have regarding the proposal. It is not intended to throw cold water on the proposal. The Anoka County Highway Department Staff will be glad to attend any meetings that would be scheduled to discuss this issue with Mn/DOT and the City of Anoka.
