The employer may calculate sick leave on an <br />hourly basis equivalent to 96 hours per 2,080 hours of compensated time, excluding overtime. <br />Combined unused traditional sick leave and unused ESST exceeding 960 hours at the end of a <br />calendar ycr (January 1) shall be converted to vacation time at a rate of one hour vacation for <br />each two hours of sick leave in excess of 960 hours. Employees enrolled in the non union post <br />employment healthcare savings plan under section '1.8 of this policy shall contribute all unused <br />sick leave hours exceeding 960, at a rate of one hour for every two hours of excess sick leave, to <br />the post employment healthcare savings plan. <br />ESST shall be a subset of traditional sick time and shall be accrued at a rate of one hour of paid <br />leave for every 30 hours worked, to a maximum of'18 hours per year. The remaining accrual, shall <br />be applied to the traditional sick leave bank. <br />Employees are eligible for carry over of accrued unused ESST into the following yc r, but the total <br />of ESST carry over hours shall not exceed 80 hours. <br />earned vacation leave, paid holidays, compensatory time or sick leave is considered to be working. <br />Regular part time employees are entitled to combined traditional sick leave and ESST, calculated <br />by converting their part time employment to an equivalent adjusted full time service basis. <br />6.3 Holidays <br />The cityCity of Ramsey recognizes thirteen (13) holidays for non -union employees.— Regular <br />employees are eligible for holiday pay provided they work the day preceding -and the day <br />following_, —the holiday; (unless the day(s) off were previously approved by the supervisor). <br />Regular employees who arc scheduled to work the holiday will be-givetireceive another day off <br />with pay. <br />Paid holidays include: <br />1.
