All employees in full-time regular positions are entitled to time off with full pay on designated holidays.— The CityCity shall be closed for business on each suchthese holidays, thoughh+# employees may be required to work due to on paid holidays when the nature of their duties or other conditions requires them to do so. Regular part-time employees are eligible for to earn paid holidays in proportion of what to that earned by regular full-time employees eam, based on the number of hours worked during any giventhe pay period in which the holiday occurs -is -paid. If an approved holiday falls on a day a part time employee is not scheduled to work, the employee must take the paid holiday leave during the same pay period in which the holiday occurred. When New Year's Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Veterans Day, or Christmas Day falls on a Sunday, the following Monday is considered the paid holiday observed as the holiday.
