<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, September 14, 1993 at <br />the Ra~pal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: Mayor James Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Sheila Beyer <br />Counci1member Glen Hardin <br />Counci1member Kenneth Peterson <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />City Administrator Ryan Schroeder <br />Finance Officer Jessie Hart <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />Police Chief Michael Auspos <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br />Project Manager James Gromberg <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:03 p.m. and <br />led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Jennifer Osmoson, a resident of Ramsey, stated that she heard about Metropolitan Council <br />wanting everything south of 153rd Avenue N.W. to go with City sewer and water and <br />inquired how that would affect the residents. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schroeder stated that City Staff is working on a proposal that will be <br />presented to City Council and to Metropolitan Council to discuss when various areas will <br />be coming into the Metropolitan Urban Service Area (MUSA). Once Metropolitan Council <br />receives it, they will determine if any or all of the land should come into the MUSA and <br />when. Once that occurs, if your property is in that Urban Service District, it does not <br />necessarily mean you will automatically get City utilities. You and your neighbors will <br />have to petition for it. If you do not, you will most likely not get City utilities. Mr. <br />Schroeder explained that a petition can be filed against a project also. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Councilmember Peterson asked to remove Item #6: Approve recommendation to fill the <br />two vacancies on the Charter Commission from the Consent Agenda and place it on the <br />regular agenda as Case #18. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to approve the <br />agenda as amended. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Beyer, Hardin <br />and Zimmennan. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />City Council/September 14, 1993 <br />Page 2 of 13 <br />
