Paul, MN 55101-1634 <br /> <br />RE: CITY OF RAMSEY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT <br /> <br />Dear Ms. Voge: <br /> <br />As requested in Ms. Rietow's letter of March 24, 1994, the City is supplying the following <br />information to complete its Comprehensive Plan Amendment: <br /> <br />1) Updated Tables 17 and 18 including employment projections. We have also changed the <br />gallons per day from 75 to 100 as noted in MWCC letter dated March 23, 1994. <br /> <br />2) The City of Ramsey currently forbids the discharge of prohibited substances into the <br />sanitary sewer. These materials are listed in ~4.40.18 of the Ramsey City Code (attached). <br />The City also follows the Standard Specifications for Water Main and Service Line <br />Installations as published by the City Engineers Association of Minnesota. The specific <br />section addressing this issue is Section 2611.3H Sanitary Sewer Leakage Testing <br />(attached). <br /> <br />3) The City addresses other types of private waste systems in ~8.30.04 Subdivision 8 Item C <br />which states the following: <br /> <br />Other systems. Where unusual conditions exist, special systems of <br />treatment and disposal, other than those specifically mentioned above, may <br />be employed, provided: <br /> <br />1. Reasonable assurance of performance of such system is presented to <br />the council; <br />2. The engineering design of suc,h system is first approved by the <br />council; . <br />3. There is no discharge to the ground surface or to surface waters; <br />4. Treatment and disposal of wastes is' in such a manner so as to <br />protect the.public health and general welfare; <br />5. Such systems comply with all applicable requirements of these <br />standards and with all local codes and ordinances; <br />6. Design criteria is reponed to the agency within one month after <br />installation of the system, where use of such system is allowed by <br />the council; and <br />
