Davis Senior Planner Metropolitan Council Mears Park Centre 230 East Fifth Street St. Paul, MN 55101 RE:CITY OF RAMSEY'S MUSA EXPANSION REQUEST Dear Bob: The City originally submitted a major Metropolitan Urban Service Area (MUSA) expansion request on October 20, 1993. After meeting with you, this request was revised and resubmitted on March 11, 1994 for review and comment by your staff. At that time, your staff deemed the request deficient and asked for additional information. This information was submitted on April 4, 1994. One of the issues was the updating of the Anoka County Transportation Plan, which is currently being completed by BRW, Inc. Mr. Ohrn has indicated that he will be meeting in the next few days with representatives of BRW to review the final numbers of the study. Based upon the above dates and the 90-day time constraint on MUSA requests, this would indicate that a final decision would be due by the week of July 4 - 8, 1994. We are, therefore, assuming expect that the MUSA expansion request will appear on the July agenda for the Community Development Committee, and the July agenda of the full Council. The City of Ramsey understands that it can expect a positive staff recommendation based upon discussions with you and other Metropolitan Council staff. As soon as you have the exact dates of these meetings, please forward them to the City so that a representative may be present.
