W. <br />Ramsey, MN 55303 <br /> <br />RE; City of Ramsey Comprehensive Plan Amendment, MUSA Expansion <br />Metropolitan Council District 9 <br />Metropolitan Council Referral File No. 13834-7 <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Schroeder: <br /> <br />The Metropolitan Council staff has reviewed the additional transportation information submitted <br />by the city, including the traffic analysis zone (TAZ) development projections faxed on Thursday <br />October 13, 1994. Staff has determined that the Ramsey comprehensive plan amendment to <br />expand the Metropolitan Urban Service Area (MUSA) is now complete for Council review. The <br />proposal is a major plan amendment (MUSA change over 40 acres in size) which by law allows <br />the Council 90 days from receipt of the complete amendment to finish its review. <br /> <br />A major plan amendment may not be put into effect by the local unit of government until the <br />Council review is complete. If the Council requires a modification of the proposed amendment, <br />the amendment may not be put into effect until the Council has approved the modification. <br /> <br />The 90 day review period ends on January 11, 1995.
