Protection Element <br />How can we identify and protect historic sites and <br />regulate the use and development of land and water <br />in regard to: <br />2. Housing Element <br />What kind of standards, plans, and programs can we <br />create to provide adequate opportunities to meet exist- <br />ing and projected local and regional housing needs, <br />including the availability of land for the development <br />of affordable housing? <br />3. Land Use Element <br />The existing and proposed location, intensity, and ex- <br />tent of use of land and water for residential, commer- <br />cial, industrial and other public and private purposes <br />will comprise this element. <br />4. Solar Element <br />What kinds of changes or additions should be made to our <br />current zoning ordinances to protect and provide access <br />to direct sunlight for solar energy systems? <br />PUBLIC FACILITIES SECTION (II) <br />Here the community will consider the needs related to <br />sewer, water, transportation, and parks and open space. <br />The Public Facilities Section should explore the character, <br />location, timing, sequence, function, use and capacity of <br />existing and future public facilities. Specifically, it <br />should provide existing and potential effects that projected <br />growth and development may have on the: <br />1. Transportation Element - specifically a description, <br />designation and scheduling of the location, function, <br />and capacity of existing and proposed local public <br />and private transportation services and facilities <br />
