1. The property upon which the treatment /disposal facility <br />is located shall be dedicated to the City of Ramsey or it shall <br />be placed in control of a homeowner's association until such time <br />as public sewer is available. <br />2. The design of the treatment /disposal facility shall be <br />on the basis of one hundred twenty -five (125) gallons of disposal <br />per bedroom per day. <br />3. Infiltration of exf iltration shall not exceed one <br />hundred (100) gallons per inch of pipe diameter per mile per day. <br />4. Cleanouts, brought flush with or above finished grade, <br />shall be provided wherever a common sewer joints an individual <br />building sewer or piping from an individual sewage tank, or every <br />one hundred (100) feet, whichever is less, unless manhole access <br />is provided. <br />5. There shall be no physical connection between'sewers and <br />water supply systems. Sewers shall be set back from water supply <br />systems and piping as required for building sewers (See Section <br />150.01.4B herein). Where it is not possible to obtain proper <br />separation distances, the sewer connections shall be watertight <br />and pressure tested as outlined in Section 150.01.4B. <br />6. Pump stations shall be watertight and have manholes <br />flush with or above finished grade for cleaning and maintenance. <br />7. Manhole covers shall be so constructed as to prevent <br />unauthorized entry. <br />8. Pumps and pump stations shall be sized to handle peak <br />flows and an alarm system shall be provided for all pumping <br />stations to warn of pump failure, overf low`or other malfunctions. <br />Maintenance <br />A contract for the maintenance of all common drainfields, sewage <br />tanks, pumps, pump stations, sewers and all individual tanks <br />connected to a common drainfield shall be maintained by the city <br />and all persons using the system. Such contracts shall be made <br />jointly and shall continue for the life of the system. <br />Metering <br />Sewage flow shall be monitored continuously, recorded monthly, <br />and reported annually to the council. Metering can be <br />accomplished by installation of a water meter to measure the flow <br />to all pumping fixtures except the outside sillcocks or, if a <br />sewage pump is used, installation of a pump cycle counter on the <br />sewage pump. <br />Seepage Pits <br />
