Surveyors &. <br />Landscape Architects <br /> <br />July 24, 1989 <br /> <br />Mr. Dick Barstow <br />5254 179th Ave. N.W. <br />Ramsey, MN 55303 <br /> <br />Re: Platting in the Rural Service Area <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Barstow: <br /> <br />As requested by Mayor Gary Reimann, I am writing this letter to <br />update you on the status of platting (lot sizes) in the rural <br />service area of the city. <br /> <br />Recently, the City council passed a resolution stating they will <br />adopt a platting density of four (4) lots per 40 acres in the Rural <br />Se:::vice Area of the City. This change will become effective <br />January 1, 1990. This change was dictated by the Metropolitan <br />council in order to allow for expansion of the Urban Service Area. <br /> <br />If you are considering platting any land in Ramsey's Rural Service <br />Area, you may subdivide at a density of 16 lots per 40 acres until <br />January 1, 1990.
