<br />Motion by Councilmember Cich and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to authorize the <br />Building Official to notify certain builders that arrangements for remote installation will be <br />made by the City on September 5, 1989. <br /> <br />Motion carried. V oting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers DeLuca, Pearson, Cich <br />and Peterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #6: <br /> <br />Redistricting Of Precincts/Polling Places: <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich stated that in January, 1989, Council passed a resolution to change the <br />boundaries of Precincts #1 and #3; the Election Division of the Secretary CJf State's Office <br />has indicated that Precinct #1 boundaries conform to state law requirements but the new <br />Precinct #3 boundaries do not. City Staff recommends amending the boundaries of <br />Precinct #3 to coincide with the new alignment for County Road #83. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Council member Cich to adopt <br />Resolution #89-08-191 which is a resolution amending Resolution #89-D2-17 and which <br />new resolution establishes the City's precincts and polling places. <br /> <br />Motion carried. V oting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers DeLuca, Pearson, Cich <br />and Peterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #7: <br /> <br />Notification Letter To Residents Regarding '4 In 40 Zoning: <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley presented the most recent draft of a letter to property owners regarding the <br />City's intent to implement '4 in 40' zoning and to schedule an informational meeting <br />regarding same. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cich inquired as to what other cities are being forced to implement 4 in 40 <br />zoning by Metro Council. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley replied that Lake Elmo, Apple Valey, Maple Grove and Eagan are complying <br />with Metro Council's 4 in 40 policy; Ramsey is the only city in Anoka County to comply. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to establish <br />a meeting date of August 28, 1989 for a public informational meeting regarding 4 in 40 <br />zoning and the mailing of a notice to residents as presented to City Council on August 1, <br />1989. <br /> <br />Motion carried. V oting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers DeLuca, Pearson, Cich <br />and Peterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #8: <br /> <br />Cost Agreement With Metropolitan Council For Site PElS <br />Technical Review: <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that Ramsey, along with all other communities affected by landfill siting, <br />has been extended an offer for reimbursement up to $100,000 each for costs incurred <br />evaluating the Environmental Impact Statement and subsequent reports related to landfill <br />siting. . <br /> <br />City Council/August 8, 1989 <br />Page 8 of 10 <br />
