Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Council recessed at 8:55 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann called the regular City Council meeting back to order at 9:10p.m. <br /> <br />Case #2: <br /> <br />Proposed Amendment To MUSA Boundaries: <br /> <br />Mr. Otto presented an overview of the proposed submittal to Metro Council for a Comprehensive <br />Plan amendment to expand Ramsey's MUSA boundaries. Mr. Otto noted that City Staff is <br />recommending rezoning certain parcels in accordance with proposed amendments to the <br />Comprehensive Plan. Areas of concern include: <br /> <br />Which presently proposed plats will be accommodated if Metro Council approves a MUSA <br />boundary expansion at less than the 400 acres requested or will a trade-off of land in <br />the MUSA boundary be considered for land outside the MUSA in order to accommodate all <br />proposed plats. <br /> <br />The schedule for completion of the Comprehensive Plan amendment approval may affect <br />the amount of construction season available for those presently proposed plats. <br /> <br />Density of development in the ex-urban area; 1 unit per 10 acres versus 1 unit per 2.5 <br />acres. <br /> <br />How development will be controlled in the transition area between the Year 2000 MUSA <br />and the ultimate urban service area. <br /> <br />Mr. Otto then reviewed with the City Council the comments that were received by the Planning <br />Commission at the public hearing on January 3 regarding the proposed MUSA boundary <br />expansion. . <br /> <br />'Motion by Councilmember Deluca and seconded by Councilmember Cich to authorize the City <br /> <br />_i <br /> <br />City Council/January 10, 1989 <br />Page 9 of 15 <br />
