He comes from a farming <br />background and, at times, is still involved in the operation of his family's <br />Century farm in Hastings, Minnesota. Bruce has a very strong <br />understanding and appreciation for the role of agriculture and the protection <br />of natural resources as factors in community development. He has been <br />very successful in helping client communities and developers stretch their <br />thinking about how these elements can be permanently incorporated as <br />elements of viable places. Bruce will be responsible for all of the analysis <br />and much of the planning associated with incorporating the natural, historical <br />and cultural elements of the City. <br /> <br />James Benshoof, P.E. serves as President of Benshoof & <br />Associates, Inc. Jim has 28 years of consulting experience in <br />transportation planning and traffic engineering. He has a Bachelors <br />Degree in Civil Engineering and two Masters Degrees in Transportation <br />Engineering. Through his experience in working with agency staff and <br />other participants, he has developed sound expertise fof defining <br />transportation issues, understanding their implications, and resolving <br />them through consensus teamwork. Jim has completed transportation <br />planning projects for the following cities: Chanhassen, Eden Prairie, <br />Grand Rapids, Hastings, Hopkins, Minnetonka, Rapid City, SD, Savage, <br />and Willmar. He is familiar with transportation conditions in the Ramsey <br />area through recent projects in the Cities of Anoka and Elk River. Jim <br />will assist in completing the transportation component of the <br />Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />Bob Day. A graduate landscape architect, Bob serves as HKGi's <br />GIS/CAD specialist with proficiency in AutoCAD, ArcCAD and <br />Arc VIEW. He brings both an understanding of the landscape and <br />an appreciation and expertise in database analysis to the project. <br /> <br />William Morris is currently President of Decision Resource, Ltd. <br />During his 10 years in that position, he has worked with hundreds of <br />local governments and school districts throughout Minnesota and across <br />the nation on a variety of public opinion-based policy issues. He also <br />holds an Adjunct Professor of Political Science position at Augsburg <br />College of Minneapolis, Minnesota. In the past, he has held appointments <br />at the University of Minnesota and the University of Saint Thomas. <br />Morris completed his Ph.D. in Public Policy Analysis at the John H. <br />Heinz School of Public Policy, Carnegie-Mellon University, Pittsburgh, <br />Pennsy lvania. <br />
