Needs more money for education system (to support large youth population) <br /> <br />We have generally summarized the characteristics of Ramsey as follows: <br /> <br />Ramsey is: <br />. Young families. <br />. A place where urban lifestyle meets rural. <br />. A clean and safe community. <br />. A wealth of natural resources and open space. <br />. A bedroom community. <br />. A community with some negative aspects to overcome (landfill, used car lots, junk <br />cars, billboards). <br /> <br />VISIONING EXERCISE - What does this place want to be? <br /> <br />In the Visioning Exercise the small groups were asked to identify, both individually and <br />as a group, what characteristics comprise a vision for the future community of Ramsey? <br />Each small group discussed their visions, arrived at five conclusions and presented their <br />characteristics at the "Vision Wall". Some groups identified the same characteristics. <br />The following is a verbatim list of those characteristics as categorized by the large group: <br /> <br />Housing <br />. Encourage owner occupied housing <br />. Maintain large lots/cluster housing <br />. Keep owner occupied housing <br />. Diverse housing <br />. Preserve housing choice <br />.
