• •
CASE # aJ
EXTENSION OF DEVELOPMENT MORATORIUM ON CERTAIN PARCELS
By: Cindy Sherman, Community Development Director
Background:
The City currently has several parcels of land that are in development moratoriums because of
the potential for change in land use or development policies as proposed in the Comprehensive
Plan. Some of the moratoriums expired in January and some are due to expire in the coming
months. A map that outlines the specific parcels is attached for your review.
Observations:
Several of the parcels are still considered sensitive from a planning standpoint and could affect
the outcome of the planning process if development were allowed to happen. Staff will provide
an outline of which parcels we believe should have the moratoriums continued and which should
be allowed to expire at the Council meeting. We will then provide an extension for those
moratoriums that have not expired and introduce an ordinance for those that have.
Recommendation:
Based on discussion
Council Action:
Based on discussion
Review Checklist:
City Administrator
CC: 2/23/99
g:\users\cindy\moratorium.doc
