Employment of a transportation planning consultant as necessary and appropriate to assist in the evaluation of river crossing alternatives and to develop traffic projections. 5. Updating of the existing land use inventory. C. FEES FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES The CITY agrees to pay the CONSULTANT for services rendered as follows: 1. For the CONSULTANT'S Basic Services described in Paragraph A, but excluding optional services and the updating of the land use inventory, a fee based on the CONSULTANT'S current hourly rate schedule plus expenses (see Attachment A) not to exceed Sixty Five Thousand Seven Hundred Ninety-Five Dollars ($65,795.00). 2. For the CONSULTANT'S Optional Services described in Paragraph A above, a fee to be negotiated or as determined by the fee proposal. For Additional Services not identified but requested by the CITY, a fee based on the CONSULTANT'S current hourly rate schedule plus incidental expenses or a negotiated fee. 3. For the updating of the land use inventory, a fee based on the CONSULTANTS current hourly rate schedule. 4. Prior to proceeding with any services above and beyond those outlined in Paragraph A, the Basic Services package, the CONSULTANT shall submit a written request and cost estimate and obtain written City Council authorization. 5. Statements will be submitted to the CITY monthly as work is completed and shall be payable within thirty (30) days of receipt by the CITY. 6. The CONSULTANT reserves the right to suspend services if the CITY is delinquent in making payments in accordance with this agreement. D. ~ITY'S RESPONSmILITY The CITY shall have responsibility to provide the following information and support services: 1. Previous inventories and studies 2.
