We understand from <br />staff that the Commission will r~commend designating the Kamis property Iiigh Dens!!y <br />Residennal We also understand that the Commission was reluctant to change the land use to <br />Include cornmercialllSes without a comminncnt on specific uSes. Our client recognizes that <br />cenain uses may cause some concern tOr the Commission. However, we ask The Commission <br />not to allow that concero to result in a Comprehensive Plan that does not explicitly acknowledge <br />the potential for limited commercial development of pan of the site <br /> <br />The attached concept plan shows how the site could be used for high-d~nsity residential <br />development and a modest amount of commercial uSes supporting residential development of the <br />propeny and n~arby areas. Th~ commercIal uses would emphasize neIghborhood servIces and <br />pedestnan access. <br /> <br />Our client agrees with the Commission that uses that inrafere with neighbors should nor <br />be proposed) nor allowed. Our client also bcheves that uses that service the immediate <br />neighborhood, or make use of access from Sunfish Lake Dnve and limned access onto HIghway <br />47, can thrive wlthout necessarily detracting from the commercial nodes proposed for areas south <br />and north oime Karms propeny.
