This ordinance amends the requirements for dosing <br />devices for pressure distribution systems. It also replaces Final Treatment and Disposal - <br />Standard Systems and Alternative systems, which replacement is prompted by revisions to <br />Minnesota Rules 7080 regarding rapidly permeable soils and mound systems which were <br />adopted in 1988 and 1989 and was passed by the City Council, City of Ramsey. as Ordinance <br />#89-16 on July 25. 1989. <br /> <br />The Council action was to: <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />Adopt Ordinance #89-16 which amends Ordinance #84-02 which contains Chapter 8.30 of the <br />Ramsey City Code; known as the Sewage Disposal System Chapter of the City Code. <br /> <br />The specific changes to Chapter 8.30 made by this ordinance are: <br /> <br />1 ) Modifications of existing Chapter 8.30.04 Subd. 5, subsection c "Dosing Devices <br />for Pressure Systems" by adding numbers 6 and 7. <br /> <br />2 ) Repeal of existing Chapter 8.30.04 Subd. 6. "Final Treatments and Disposal - <br />Standard System" and replacement with a new Chapter 8.30.04 Subd. 6 that <br />conforms to Minnesota Statute Chapter 7080, especially as related to rapidly <br />permeable soils <br /> <br />3 ) Repeal of existing Chapter 8.30.04 Subd. 7, "Final Treatment and Disposal - <br />Alternative Systems" and replacement with a new Chapter 8.30.04 Subd. 7 that <br />conforms to Minnesota Statutes 7080, especially as related to mound systems <br /> <br />4 ) Replacement of existing Chapter 8.30.04 Subd. 8, "1990 Urban Service <br />Alternatives" with a new Chapter 8.30.04 Subd. 8 "2000 Urban Service <br />Alternatives" that eliminated a subsection permitting a sewage collection system <br />with a common disposal site for two or more buildings and that eliminated a <br />subsection allowing seepage pits for disposal of sewage effluent in the urban <br />service area. <br /> <br />43 <br />
