The
amendment proposes to expand the MUSA by 44 acres to single-family
development consisting of 47 lots and 15 acres commercial
development. The amendment indicates the year 2000/2010 wastewater
flow in the City will increase by 37,000 gallons per day as a
result of this MUSA expansion.

The Commission indicated in previous plan amendment reviews that
the Anoka WWTP had the capacity to accommodate 500 new residential
equivalent connections' (rec I s) from January 1, 1989 until the
phase-out at the Anoka WWTP. Since then, the number of connections
in the City has been less than anticipated. The phase-out of the
Anoka WWTP is in process. The project'is scheduled for completion
in June, 1993.

. ~,

Our review indicates the Metropolitan Disposal System has adequate
capacity to accommodate the needs of this MUSA expansion. The
COIn.'11ission, therefore, has no objection to the Plan Amendment, as
submitted.

f:)~7;~

Donald S.
