<br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey Planning Commission met on April 1, 2004, conducted a public <br />hearing, and recommended that the Ramsey City Council approve the request for an amendment to <br />the Comprehensive Plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the adjacent land uses are designated as Rural Developing, Low Density <br />Residential, and Medium Density Residential; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City finds that given the variety of lot sizes and development intensity <br />surrounding the subject property, a land use designation of Low Density Residential is appropriate. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves the request for a land use designation change of <br />the Subject Property from Rural Developing to Low Density Residential for the following <br />parcels: <br /> <br />PID# <br />23-32-25-22-0011 <br />23-32-25-23-0003 <br />23-32-25-23-0005 <br />23-32-25-23-0004 <br />23-32-25-23-0001 <br />23-32-25-23-0010 <br /> <br />2) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes City Staff to submit the necessary <br />documentation to Metropolitan Council for an amendment to the 2001 Comprehensive Plan to <br />change the land use designation to Low Density Residential. <br /> <br />3) That this land use change shall become effective concurrent with the City's receipt of notification <br />of approval from Metropolitan Council. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Pearson, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Pearson <br />Councilmember Cook <br />Councilmember Kurak <br />Councilmember Strommen <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #04-04-102 <br />Page 2 of3 <br />
