• Cut wire and twine and pull away from tree trunk.
• Remove burlap from top 1/3 of rootball.
• All tags, bands and wires shall be removed from tree immediately after planting.
Tree Preservation: There are no areas of significant trees. Therefore, no tree
preservation plan is necessary.
Drainage and Grading: The following comments are offered regarding the drainage and
grading plan dated 8/15/06:
• NW corner of parking lot shows to be a low area (check grades)
• Check grading plan -- area has been graded and many of the monitoring wells
shown on the plan have been removed.
• Outlot A has 7' of fall in 150' —show how area will be maintained for erosion.
• Outlot A is private property and needs a construction permit from owner.
Monitoring wells that remain need to have bollards placed around them with an
easement. Check with the MPCA for any grading around them and inquire if they
will need to be fenced off as well.
• Modular block retaining wall needs top and bottom elevation at beginning,
middle, and end of wall. If wall is 42" high or more, it will need a fence along the
top.
• Drainage and utility easement will be required around the holding pond.
• An NPDS II permit is needed
• Lower FES in proposed pond to 870.00
• Need storm casting detail for traffic areas
• All DIP watermains smaller than 6" must be class 53.
• What type of erosion control fabric is under the FES?
• Erosion control plan -- need to have a sweeper on site or get one within 3 hours.
• Storm catch basin will be required to have erosion control device installed in them
until vegetation has been established.
• The Weir detail show an elevation of 977.54 to what?
• Stormwater calculation must be submitted to the Lower Rum River Water
Management Organization (LRRWMO) for review and approval. A permit must
be obtained from the LRRWMO.
A revised drainage and utility plan has been forwarded to engineering. Comments will
be forthcoming in a separate memo. Final approval will be contingent upon changes
outlined in that memo.
Access: The proposed site plan shows one access point on Azurite St. on the southwest
side of the property. This access point is sufficient to meet standards. Per Planning
Commission discussion, the access has been revised as to relocate the access to the
northwest corner of the site along Azurite St.
