Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Cook, Olson, Elvig, Jeffrey, and Pearson. Voting No None. Absent: Councilmember Strommen Case #2: Public Hearing Regarding Special Assessments for Improvement Projects 06- 04, 06 -05, 06 -06, 06 -07, 06 -08, 06 -09, and 6 -11 Bituminous Overlays of City Streets. Public Hearing Mayor Gamec called the public hearing to order at 7:30 p.m. Presentation City Engineer Jankowski explained that the City would normally overlay the streets, tally the costs and hold the assessment hearings. He stated this year is unusual because of the City Ordinance requirement to not award contracts 10 percent over the feasibility study. Mr. Jankowski stated the Council would pass the assessment at this meeting and wait. 30 days before awarding the contract. He indicated the work would start approximately September 20 and be completed, weather permitting, about October 15 Mayor Gamec stated the projects to be approved are: 06 -04 Alpaca Estates; Alpaca Estates 1 St , 2nd, and 3` 06 -05 Ford Brook Estates E/O TH47 06 -06 Forest Hideaway 06 -07 Oakridge Estates 06 -08 Hall - Anderson Acres 06 -09 Sections 6 and 7 (Unplatted), and 06 -11 Waco St; 15 Ave. Public Input Mr. Tom Shadrick, 17941 Junkite Street NW (Ford Brook Estate), stated he is confused as to whether his street is being overlaid. City Engineer Jankowski stated Junkite Street NW would be overlaid. Ms: Cindy Layman, 16340 Hedgehog Street, stated drainage ditch work was scheduled to be done in the area and wanted to know if this would wreck the road once it is overlaid. Fire Chief Kapler replied equipment would be moved in to take care of the drainage ditch this week. Mr. Jim Thelen, 17700 Eaton Street, stated his letter indicated his cost would be $1,000 if he paid in November and $1,500 if he did not.
