Absent: Councilmember Strommen <br />Case #2: Public Hearing Regarding Special Assessments for Improvement Projects 06- <br />04, 06 -05, 06 -06, 06 -07, 06 -08, 06 -09, and 6 -11 Bituminous Overlays of City <br />Streets. <br />Public Hearing <br />Mayor Gamec called the public hearing to order at 7:30 p.m. <br />Presentation <br />City Engineer Jankowski explained that the City would normally overlay the streets, tally the <br />costs and hold the assessment hearings. He stated this year is unusual because of the City <br />Ordinance requirement to not award contracts 10 percent over the feasibility study. Mr. <br />Jankowski stated the Council would pass the assessment at this meeting and wait. 30 days before <br />awarding the contract. He indicated the work would start approximately September 20 and be <br />completed, weather permitting, about October 15 <br />Mayor Gamec stated the projects to be approved are: <br />06 -04 Alpaca Estates; Alpaca Estates 1 St , 2nd, and 3` <br />06 -05 Ford Brook Estates E/O TH47 <br />06 -06 Forest Hideaway <br />06 -07 Oakridge Estates <br />06 -08 Hall - Anderson Acres <br />06 -09 Sections 6 and 7 (Unplatted), and <br />06 -11 Waco St; 15 Ave. <br />Public Input <br />Mr. Tom Shadrick, 17941 Junkite Street NW (Ford Brook Estate), stated he is confused as to <br />whether his street is being overlaid. <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated Junkite Street NW would be overlaid. <br />Ms: Cindy Layman, 16340 Hedgehog Street, stated drainage ditch work was scheduled to be <br />done in the area and wanted to know if this would wreck the road once it is overlaid. <br />Fire Chief Kapler replied equipment would be moved in to take care of the drainage ditch this <br />week. <br />Mr. Jim Thelen, 17700 Eaton Street, stated his letter indicated his cost would be $1,000 if he <br />paid in November and $1,500 if he did not.
