• May 2025 <br />• June 21, 2025 <br />Contractor begins improvements <br />Contractor completes improvements <br />The proposed improvements are designated as City Improvement Project #25-09, 2025 Crack Seal Improvements. <br />Notification: <br />Staff does not mail letters to property owners for crack seal improvements, since the work occurs quickly and has <br />little to no impact to the traveling public or abutting properties. Engineering Staff will create and maintain a <br />project webpage, which will be updated as new information is made available throughout the project. <br />Time Frame/Observations/Alternatives: <br />Observations: <br />IP 25-09 and IP 25-10 engineer's estimates are based off of final plans and anticipated 2025 construction costs. <br />IP 25-11 estimate is a CIP level estimate based off of costs per mile. <br />Alternatives: <br />Adopt Resolution #25-09 approving plans and specifications and authorizing advertisement for bids for 2025 <br />Crack Seal Improvements, Improvement Project #25-09. <br />Funding Source: <br />The City budgeted $600,000 in 2025 for contracted street maintenance services including; crack sealing, <br />pavement rejuvenation, and refreshing pavement markings. <br />The estimated costs for pavement maintenance improvements is: <br />• IP 25-09 Crack Seal $232,800 <br />• IP 25-10 Pavement Rejuvenation $249,200 <br />• IP 25-11 MSA Pavement Markings $19,3 80 <br />• Total Pavement Maintenance Costs $501, 380 <br />o Staff recommends remaining budgeted funds be guided for pavement patching services as needed. <br />City Staff proposes to administer and inspect construction in-house, as part of their normal duties. <br />Recommendation: <br />On January 21, 2025 the Ramsey Public Works Committee reviewed the 2025 Crack Seal Improvements and <br />recommended City Council approve the final plans and specifications and authorize advertisement for bids. <br />Staff recommends adopting Resolution #25-09 approving plans and specifications and authorizing advertisement <br />for bids for 2025 Crack Seal Improvements, Improvement Project #25-09. <br />Outcome/Action: <br />Motion to adopt Resolution #25-09 approving plans and specifications and authorizing advertisement for bids for <br />2025 Crack Seal Improvements, Improvement Project #25-09. <br />Attachments <br />2025 Crack Seal Map <br />Res 25-020 <br />25-09 Street Summary <br />
