.ORDINANCE #03-001 CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 9 WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE ZONING AND SUBDIVISION OF LAND CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MIN- NESOTA. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SEC- TION 9.11.02 "ACCESSORY USES" OF CHAPTER 9 OF THE CITY CODE OF RAM- SEY, MINNESOTA. The City of Ramsey ordains: SECTION 1. REPEAL' Paragraphs a. and b. of Subdivision 5, and Subdivisions 7, 9 and 11 of Section 9.11.02 are repealed in their entirety. SECTION 2. SUMMARY The following official summary of Ordinance #03-001 has been approved i by the City Council of the City of Ramsey · as clearly informing the public of the : intent and effect of the Ordinance. It is the intent and · effect of Ordinance #03-001 to amend Ramsey i City Code Chapter 9 (Zoning and i Subdivision of Land) to amend the lan- . guage prohibiting the construction of detached accessory buildings nearer the ' front property line than the principal · structure so that it onlyapplies to lots less than 2 acres in size. The 16-foot height restriction on accessory buildings will be applicable to properties [ess than 2.5 acres in size versus properties located inside the Metropolitan Urban Service Area. The 22-foot height restriction on accessory buildings will be applicable to · -:properties 2.5 acres and greater in size, ::versus just properties located outside the · Metropolitan Urban Service Area. A vari- lance may be obtained to exceed the established height restrictions on acces- sory buildings. Criteria for considering variances to the 'height restrictions is included in the text. "SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE The effective date of this ordinance is thirty (30) days,after its passage and pub- lication, subject to City Charter Section 5.07.
