Peak times of operation would occur in summer <br />months, creating a larger amount of commercial truck traffic at that time. <br />The Planning Commission met on Thursday, October 5 to review the request and conduct the <br />public hearing. There were no verbal or written comments received, other than those of the applicant <br />and Dennis Sharp. <br />While Staff expressed to the Planning Commission having a daycare in an employment area would <br />be a positive amenity for the community, this site may not be appropriate due to existing uses that <br />surround the site having the potential to negatively impact the daycare operation. <br />The Planning Commission also reviewed the intent of Interim Use Permits and determined that this <br />application does not fall into the category of a use "that is presently acceptable, but that with <br />anticipated development, will not be acceptable in the future." <br />Recommendation: <br />The Planning Commission recommended denial of the Interim Use Permit. <br />Commission Action: <br />Motion to recommend that City Council adopt Findings of Fact #06 -10- relating to a request for <br />an Interim Use Permit to operate a daycare facility on the ground floor of the existing property at <br />6575 141S Ave NW. <br />-and- <br />Copies to: <br />City Engineer <br />Building Official <br />Civil Engineer <br />CC: 10/10/2006 <br />Motion to recommend that City Council approve, the request for an Interim Use Permit Permit to <br />operate a daycare facility. <br />-Or- <br />Motion to recommend that City Council deny the request based on the findings of fact. <br />
