Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #01- 05 -XXX <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #01 -21, WATER TOWER NO. 1 REPAINTING <br />WHEREAS, on March 27, 2001, City Council approved the plans and specifications for <br />the above referenced work; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Improvement Project #01 -21, <br />bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law; and <br />WHEREAS, the following is a summary of the four lowest quotes that were received: <br />Bidder <br />TMI Coatings, Inc. <br />Champion Coatings, Inc. <br />LeadCon, Inc. <br />Tenyer Coatings <br />ENGINEER'S ESTIMATE <br />Amount of Bid <br />$77,800.00 <br />$78,550.00 <br />$97,780.00 <br />$105,500.00 <br />$84,950.00 <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that TMI Coatings, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with TMI Coatings, Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for the construction <br />of Improvement Project #01 -21 in the amount of $77,800.00. <br />2) That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders <br />the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the <br />next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />—116— <br />
