<br />Councilnanber Cox asked how they feel about using tax increment funds for a <br />business with another City's name. <br /> <br />Mr. John Noard stated that he is irtheprocessof trying to get feedback from <br />his advertising agency. The business is 14 years old and is established. He <br />stated that he is contemplating using Anoka-Pansey. <br /> <br />Councilnenber Cox stated that as much as he wants to cooFerate and would like <br />them in the community, Ramsey will never have an identity if businesses don't <br />start identifying with the colTlITllIDity they're located in. <br /> <br />City Administrator Hartley stated that the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />recommended approval of City participation in the proposed proj ect and <br />suggested that Ramsey be incorporated or referenced in the name of the <br />business. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilrnernber Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to <br />approve the request by Mr. John Neard for City participation in the proposed <br />project, with the suggestion that Ramsey be incorporated or referenced in the <br />name of the business, and authorize the Mayor and City Mninistrator, to execute <br />a preliminary developnent agreement for the proJ;X>sed project. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: lv'..ayor Reimann, Councilnembers Sorteberg, Pearson, <br />DeLuca, and Cox. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox mentioned the airport and wanted Mr. Neard to be aware of the <br />issues. <br /> <br />Case #14: Request for Site Plan Review and preliminary Approval of a <br />Planned unit DevelQpment: Case of Mr. Georae Carlson and River's <br />Bend Properties: <br /> <br />City Administrator Hartley stated that the plans and specifications will be <br />available at the April 26, .1988 Comcil meeting. <br /> <br />Cammmity Development Director Norris stated that the Planning and zoning <br />Commission had to hold a public hearing on this project as a Planned Unit <br />Developnent and they reconunended granting preliminary approval of the project. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilrrember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to approve <br />the site and preliminary developnent plans for the apartment project proposed <br />by Mr. George Carlson and River's Bend Proferties. <br /> <br />filotion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Cox, Pearson, <br />DeLuca, and Sorteberg. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />Case #15: 1987 Budget Adjustments: <br /> <br />Finance Officer Graczyk reviewed the proposed resolutions with the Council. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilrrember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Cox to adopt <br />Resolution #88-59 to amend the 1987 Cperating Budget. <br /> <br />lv'..otion carried. Voting yes: fo"..ayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />Pearson, and DeLuca.
